Emerald (エメラルド , emerarudo ) is a key item in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Before checking, the name of this item is "Green Gem" (緑の宝石 , midori no hōseki ).
Purpose
This gem is the necessary item for opening the Raccoon Metropolis Hall, which is locked past the automated mechanism - the clock, that opens the gate but in operating hours.
Initially, the clock, that contains twelve dissimilar gems lacks two of them. One is emerald, and the other 1 is sapphire.
"A clock is not functioning. Two gems are missing from the hour plate." says the clock, when it is explored for the first fourth dimension.
"It seems that this is not plenty to make the device to piece of work" says message after setting one of the gems. The precious stone disappears from the inventory afterward setting and can be seen on the clock.
Location
This gem has two possible locations, depending on where Jill has met Carlos in the game. If Carlos was at the eatery, so the gem's location is at The Raccoon Press. If Carlos was at the press office, then the jewel will exist in the restaurant basement.
